bonjour... paresse?

one year later, blah blah blah. i don't feel guilty.

i feel like showing you this;

my gorgeous friend liz is getting married in august and this is the invite i created for her. i hope she doesn't mind me putting it on here.

the theme for the whole wedding is lilac and grey. robyn is a tree surgeon, and they keep chickens. they wanted something non-traditional and hand drawn. they liked it, so i'm happy.

see you in a year.

more stories of silk

Last weekend I went the furthest north I've ever been and had a right nice time in the lovely Leeds. Highlight of obligatory shopping trip was a visit to Blue Rinse, a vintage shop in which they have a whole rail full of different coloured silk vests. I bought four, yum.

Until I manage to do another drawing, I leave you this;

silky kitty

OK so three posts in one night is quite an obvious result of this chain of thought; 'oh darn it I should have at least bothered to write something on my blog in 2010 to satisfy, at the very least, my overwhelming need to believe that i am just a tiny bit interesting' (george this is your fault for being on it and funny here) but anyway, look at this and salivate;

mmmm silky kitty.

oh hi birdie

awkward.

Cows.

I have a natural attraction to pictures of animals. I'm not an animal lover by anyones standards, and vegetarians honestly perplex me, but I really like pictures of cows, and pictures of birds. And pictures of rabbits. This is by an artist called Ian McDonnell and is a witty depiction of various cow body parts, cuts of meat and slaughtering apparatus (carnivore's rule!);

The gold foil is well satisfying.
